Can the PSP play Bootleg games as well as carry a modchip?

Hey can the PSP be modified with the chip like PS2 to play Backup games? I know there is no UMD burner, but You can download the games that you own off Bittorrent and put them on a USB stick right? or a memory card. I have seen a lot of PSP games that I own on Bittorrent, If I download and out in My PSP will it play? Also is there a mod chip you can solder onto the board? And does all the games work?

1. Yes. PSP has a mod chip. However, if your PSP is version 3.03 and below, you don't need a mod chip to do what you want. All you need to do is to downgrade your PSP to version 1.50. Check out psp-hacks for more information.
2. most people don't need to mod a psp because if you have firmware 1.50 you can download games online from places like. http://dl.qj.net/ i forgot the name but there is a website where you can download full psp games that are sold in stores. all you have to do is put in any psp game in your psp, and it thinks that it is the game you downloaded.
