Is the 8gb memorystick DUO for the psp good for backup games? I have a custom firmware 3.71 which i can backup my games that i own. I did that on purpose to leave my orignal games in my home while i travel with the games backup in my psp becuase i didnt want anyone to steal my games while i am on travel. Do you have to unbrick your PSP in order to play original (backup and/or downloaded) of a game from a UMD disk Ok so lets just say that you went onto a site and downloaded a PSP game ok, OR you just made a back up of a game that you own, now here comes the question, do you have to unbrick your PSP in order to play it on your PSP by putting it on your PSP by using a PC? Because i have a backup of my game (SOCOM u.s. navy seals Fireteam Bravo 2) and I put it into my PSP/GAME folder (making sure that using a backup actully work) and then i go my PSP and take it out of USB Mode and i go to Game and then Memory Stick and i find a file, but all it says is its corrupted data. Download psp games? Right I’m not looking for a legality lesson I already own many games for the psp and I’m looking to download only those I own as backups. Backup PS2 Games? How can I backup PS2 games? Is there a way without modchip or swap magic, dont have a credit card and can only use stuff from stores. I hear that if you make a Pefect Copy (1:1, one-to-one) it will act like a real game, how can this be done? If I even would find a chip would it be worth it cuz why have a modded PS2 when I could get a modded PS3 that plays all those games and more, since PS2 is getting obsolete, I can play PS1 games on PSP Via Dark_AleX popstation. I hear sony is threatening modded PS3 owners though, but this if just for backup and DRM violates my rights as a consumer. I UNDERSTAND THAT PIRACY IS ILLEGAL AND AM ONLY WANTING TO BACKUP MY OWN GAMES DONT GIVE ME ANY ANWSERS ABOUT "That's illegal" or "dont pirate" backup is legal and DRM removes rights! Or is there a PS2 emualtor for Vista that runs on Dual Core 1.73 MHz, 1 GB ram that will read ISO or DVD in the drive? Isn't HD Advance the same as Swap Magic? Where can I get it, I dont have a credit card, but maybe in the future can setup paypal or money order, but I prefer stores anyways. Also with the PS3 out, is it worth it, but then again PS3 games are like 20 GB on a full Blu-Ray and that means a 60 GB HD will only hold 3 games, unless I burn but when a Blu Ray burner is $800 and a blank disk is $20 its cheaper to buy the game twice as a bacup, but why buy it twice? PSP custom firmware? Ok, looking to get a good trusted firmware for my psp, so I can run iso/backup/downloaded psp games on it, just curious what the best to get is, what other firmware or apps i might need to download or any other resources i would need. Seems like theres a risk in messing up and "bricking" my psp, and it would be a pretty expensive paperweight, so i would like to avoid that. Any help? Thanks

How to Backup NAND on Fat PSP with newly installed 3.71 M33 V3? Purchased a NEW fat PSP about a week ago *getting hard to find new fatties. Got my PANDORA kit couple days ago. Installed software (about crapped myself), as pandora kit was from eBay and this was my N.E.W. PSP<<<<<Everything went fine, playing SNES games and things now. I DID NOT BACKUP THE NAND-was worried enough as it was. I have NO issues with my PSP but need the info JUST INCASE. Also....can my Pandora kit be used more than once with other PSP's meaning there are not any files added to the MS after downgradeing and CFW added to my PSP that will interfer with a new setup on another PSP? Installed OFW 1.50 then 3.71 m33 V2 then did update to V3. Will I need to remove anything on the Pandora Memory Stick to do again?? The reason I ask is because the sellers notes on the install for a SLIM stated to remove 2 folders (for the slim install) and to rename one of the other folders. I cannot contact the seller now because he is "no longer a registered user" on eBay. Copy MY ISO's?? HOW??

PSP Slim Games? I have a PSP Slim reserved for when it comes out next week. Here is my question if you have any negative things to say keep them to yourself. I am wanting to know about games for it that are fun to play. I like stuff like Mario Bros and old school stuff like that. Any suggestions for me. PSP upgrade to PSP Slim? I am going out to trade my PSP Phat for a PSP Slim and Lite, however before I do this I just wanted to make sure I will be able to do what I have been doing on my PSP phat on the PSP Slim and Lite. I have 3.52 M33 on my PSP phat so I can play the PS1 games I have on my PSP, will I be able to do this on the PSP Slim aswell? so basically downgrade to a custom firmware to allow it to play PS1 games? I also have backups of my PSP games on my Memory card and play from that, so Would I also be able to do this with a PSP Slim? I have created a Pandora's battery and a magic memory card thing using my PSP Phat so I could downgrade it from 3.90 M33, which was causing some compatibility issues, to 1.5 then upgrade to 3.52 M33 firmware, would this also work with the PSP Slim?

cant copy any cso/iso on my psp? i tried all the forums in the web and there answers, but still my psp cant copy cso/iso files theres always an error in copying them.i already format my m-stick.. my psp was bought by my sister and when it came to me it has already 4 games in it so i copy that 4 games to my pc for backup coz my m-stick is just 1gb..i deleted that 4cso file games and downloaded some new games but i cant copy them and when i tried to copy my backup games to my psp theres always an error in copying even my themes dont work anymore..help needed badly!!

Psp Game Saving? Hey Guys, Is there any program to save a psp game....namely ISO's or UMD backups, at any point in the game? For example, the GBA emulators for PSP had a feature where you can sort of flash save at any point while playing a game, and then u can load back to it at anytime. Basically an independent saving mechanism from the normal saver in a game. Because I want to save my game of Final Fantasy Tactics - War of the Lion right before I go into battle, that way I can just reload if I need to make an adjustment. Lol, I know..cheating..oh well..Razz I am using CFW 3.52M33 .... Can anyone Help Out? It would be greatly Appreciated

types of psp firmwares...? i was going to buy a psp, but i also want one that can run homebrew and backup umd games... the problem is that the only ones i can find for sale on stores are the psp piano black version and this other special edition one. Will the piano black version play those homebrews? i also want to know if it is possible to install a custom firmware or downgrade it to 1.50 official firmware on any psp without making a pandora battery since it looks really complicated.

How do you downgrade a TA-0082 PSP running Sony3.80 firmware using a Pandora Battery? I am a complete newbie to all this stuff. I have been told (thanks titan) that to downgrade, I need to use a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick. What I need is a complete idiots guide to do this!! The videos I've seen about Pandora Batteries confuse me and I am totaly scared of bricking the PSP. It's my son's. He wants to use UMD Dumper2 to backup his games and wants the ability to run homebrew games and apps. Titan tells me there is a CFW3.80. I just want to run anything that will run UMD Dumper and homebrew games and not take too much away. Looking on the net, 3.40*LE is recommended but if CFW3.80 will do it, I would be happy to install it. Another worry I have is that I have read that TA-0082's do not like running 1.50 and modifications have to be made??? I take it my son has a TA-0082 as inside his UMD door you can see IC1003 stamped on the motherboard. Anyone who has time to help a complete idiot would be welcomed!!!

PSP Problems? ok i made a backup of my UMD and placed it in my ISO folder located on my memory card,i was able to play my backups on my old 1GB memory stick pro duo , but i just bought a new 4GB memory stick pro duo but when i go to memory card under the Games Section on my psp slim , it just says no games . can anyone solve the problem for me?i am using 3.80m33-5 i know it erases . but i bought a SEPERATE AND NEW Lexar 4GB memory stick pro duo .it shows that my 4gb memory stick uses FAT32 and my 1GB memory card from sony uses FAT , does this make any difference? is using CSO files in the ISO folder ok? i am reformatting now . i am using 3.80m33-5 , how do i go about updating to 3.90m33-2

PSP slim Custom Firmware and 8GB supoport? I am planning to buy PSP slim. Can the new PSP with 3.95 Original Firmware be Modded with Custom firmware. or should i buy 3.90. And also is there an issue with 8GB card. Anyone using 8GB card please help. I will use it only for games. Also what is the procedure to backup the original firmware and load it for warranty sake. What is wrong with my psp? Alright i was installing some new homebrew (im running 3.90 M33 CFW on a Slim psp) and i figured why not change up my theme? i had already used this theme so i knew it worked but it required me to change some things on my flash0 so i did. as i was going to exit i accidentally hit up and formatted and restored flash1. nowwhenever my psp starts i go through initial setup and then the xmb dosnt load. before these problems i change umd auto boot on so if there is a umb in the drive it starts and i can play games i just cant access xmb. i tried restoring my flash0 with a backup i had made and no luck does anyone have any suggestions?

I know in order to play downloaded and homebrew games i need to either downgrade or get a custom firmware for it. In my searches ive found some commonly mentioned items... a Magic Stick (memory) and a Pandora Battery... do i really need these or is is possible to use the sony ones? Also, How would I install a custom firmware and more importantly, what are the risks of installing it (is the a way to backup your current firmware or can it only be changed and not copied). What is the current best/safest? Is it really worth it? Any additional information about Custom Firmware and hacking would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
